World Wetland Day Celebration 2026 was organized by S. Thangapazham Agricultural College, Vasudevanallur, Tenkasi, in line with the theme “Wetlands and Human Wellbeing – It’s Time for Wetland Restoration.” The programme was graced by Dr. R. Rajmohan, District Forest Officer, Tenkasi Forest Division, who delivered the Special Address, and Mr. M. Madhivanan, Senior Researcher & Coordinator, Ashoka Trust for Ornithology and Ecology, Manimutharu, who presented the Keynote Address, emphasizing the significance of wetland conservation and restoration for ecological sustainability.
